I am not a fan. I think it should be legal, but I also think there are no safeguards and the betting companies don’t respect the laws about letting people set limits and such. There are lots of stories about how the betting companies take the big losers and tempt them with more and more “free credits,” which just get people back into the game when they might have been tempted to stop. I don’t bet on sports, in part out of concern that it would get out of control.
