Yes! (Instead of “take all the cautions” you can say, “take all the necessary precautions.”)

A relative recently said he always keeps his key inside a pouch that blocks these repeater devices. I thought he was being paranoid (he lives on a quiet suburban street; there is no crime there), but maybe now I have to rethink that…

I saw the BBC videos in the Dig Deeper section and was impressed by how quickly the thief started the car and drove away.

I am not a motorcycle rider, but I would be nervous parking it on a busy street. It just seems so easy to load it onto a flat bed truck & take off!

I liked the joke! (Outdated now, though!)

The reason may be that vehicle registration systems is still outdated. However, theft of property in cars is a prominent problem, especially in big cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi. Although there is no transnational luxury car trading network here as shown in the article, motocycle theft is common and reckless.
I once lost my Honda Future in just a few minutes while leaving it in front of the shop. Even thought I reported it to the police, it was almost impossible to find the motorcycle without a bribe.
