Great example! Two edits for you:

1. “Same ideas” might be a little strong – you might want to say, “similar ideas”
2. I know in Spanish, people say “hacer networking” but in English, we have a verb: “to network.” “A good way to network is to keep in touch…” or “A good way to maintain your network is to…”
3. People is plural, so you need to say “people who have…” (In Spanish, I think “la gente” would be singular like, “…con la gente que tiene las mismas ideas”. But in English, we would say “with people who have similar ideas.”)

That’s amazing once a year! I have definitely gone a different way from most of my friends from college and we stay in touch a little, but not as much as I would like. You can say, “Now the social networks help us keep in touch during the year.”

Good example of “in touch with” – you can say, “Today, I can’t get in touch with my creative writing self”

Thu and Ha have been best friends since their university days. They shared countless happy and sad memories, confided their dreams and secrets in each other. After graduation, they went their separate ways, with Thu moving to the South to pursue her carrier and Ha staying in Ha Noi to build her family. Despite a long distance, they always tried their best to stay in touch.
Every week, they would make time to call each other, text, and share their daily stories, their challenges at work and in life. Thanks to this connection, they feel like they had never been apart.
One day, Thu faced a major setback at work. She felt hopeless and didn’t know who she should turn to. In her most desperate moment, she thought of Ha and decided to get in touch with her best friend.
Ha listened patiently as Thu poured her heart out, offering encouragement and sharing her own experiences. She helped Thu find the silver lining in the situation. Thanks to Ha, Thu gradually regained her spirit and overcame the difficulties.
This story shows that true friendship can overcome and distance. No matter how busy life gets, always make time to stay in touch with your dear friend.

With schoolmates we had many things to share. Everybody knows that to study do not mean only lectures, exercises and works in labs. But it meant much more free time, a lot of travel, playing football, visiting pubs and drinking beer, morning hangover (sometimes) and much more. We build strong connections to each other. After we graduated our paths have split. Fortunately, we are in touch. We meet regularly once a year since 1986. Now the social networks help us keeping in touch during the year.

But who doesn’t? You can’t be interested in everything, be in touch with the whole world. Of course, for them, it is a bit exaggerated, but sometimes you need an expertise, not a general knowledge that ChatGPT has. The problem is that people on the spectrum find it hard to be in touch with their own emotions. That causes emotional dysregulation for someone with ADHD, meltdowns for someone with ASD.

What about me? Today, I am not able to be in touch with my creative ‘writing’ self…
