That’s good. If the policy is “in place,” then I might use the present tense here: “…policy in place does not address the issue…”

Great example! Bonus points for using “not only…but” perfectly as well. Just one edit, which is that “the elderly” means people who are older. So you can say, “Long-term care services for the elderly are in place in Taiwan.” and “…also provide better services for the elderly.”

They not only help reduce caregivers’ burden but also provide better services for the older.

Great – just a few small edits. “which” can be “those.” So it can say, “In Italy, the law in place establishes that only those over 18 years old can get a driver’s license.”

“In place” is correct here. I would recommend a few things. “…allowed lawyers to make innocent defendant” can become something like, “…that allowed lawyers to argue that a defendant was innocent of killing their spouses, on the grounds that they were defending their honor.”

Perfect use of “in place.” A few edits for you:

1. Instead of “religious” you would want to put “religions”
2. “Orthodox Jewish” is an adjective, so you need a noun like, “In the Orthodox Jewish tradition, men should sit far from women on public transportation.”
