First I wrote “the water” and I decided to change it to make my sentence look more natural but maybe I shouldn’t have changed it 🙂

This is a good use of “heat up.” We don’t usually say “tea water” but instead, “heat up the water for my tea”

Great example of heat up, Pinking! We don’t typically say “eat” soup, maybe “have soup” is better. Or you can say, “…because I don’t like hot soup” or “…because I don’t like the soup to be too hot.”
