Great job, hard time is perfect. I would recommend these small edits:

“I had a hard time with one of my car’s tires this morning when I was going to work. It was already too late to spend much time on repairs. My car gives me a hard time now and then. I should buy another one.”

I like “now and then” better than “once in a while,” although I can’t explain exactly why (ChatGPT was no help to me on this one either – it had no satisfactory explanation). Maybe it’s just my personal opinion!
