Love that! Great us of “hailed as a hero.” When “everyone” is the subject, the verb agrees with the singular form: “Everyone who endeavors to make the world a better place should be hailed as a hero.”

Great example – just a quick note – you would say, “he was hailed as a hero.”

“Hail” here is like, “recognized” as a hero. So you put it in the passive voice: “He was hailed as a hero.” You can make it active and say, “The whole community hailed his heroic actions on the beach that day” but it’s more common in the passive voice, “he was hailed as a hero”
