This is a good example. It might be slightly clearer to say, “I can more easily focus on details” but the way you wrote it is also correct

After “focus on” you need an object (a noun). You can say, “…but I need silence to focus.” or you can use “focus on” with an object, “…but I need silence to focus on what I’m reading” or “…to focus on my book.”

Perfect! And that makes it an even better listening challenge to decipher the audio while there are distractions

When I commute to work by using the urban railway there are so many announcements of delays and specific conditions in the trains – it is really hard to focus on listening to PLAIN ENGLISH, even though I’ve got my headphones on.
