I think this works, although “humorist” is not a very common word. “Humorist” is interesting; a humorist is not a comedian, but is more of an intellectual person. So I suppose a humorist would address a serious situation seriously, but would then use a small bit of humor to make a bigger point.

I’m glad you saw it! “Comic relief” is a concept, so it can’t be made plural. You can say, “It contained one of the best instances of comic relief that I have ever seen in a movie.”

It contained one of the best comic reliefs I have ever seen in movies. Answering the question of what he would have done differently the second pilot said: “I woud have done it in July”.
