Great example. This is technically correct. Just one note for you: we don’t typically say “motherland” in English. Oddly, it’s a term we often use in English to describe Russia; don’t ask me why. It would be more common to say “returned to his home country/city/town”. However, you can also say, “returned to his homeland to come full circle in his life.”
