Great example – just a quick edit. You can say, “bought it all up” or “bought everything up.” In this case, I think “bought everything up” would sound good: “The customers bought everything up in the blink of an eye.”

The customers bought all up in the blink of an eye.

Great job with “buy up” here. A few notes for you. “For the first time after 18 years” should be, “for the first time in 18 years.” Also, we don’t usually say “dispute the final.” We would say, “compete in the finals.”

Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers will dispute the final, and the Canadian time is going to finals for the first time after 18 years. I can imagine how many people bought up tickets to watch their favorite time.

100% perfect, I love this example – I wish I had thought of it myself to put it in the episode!

Hi Néstor – Great example. A few tips for you: Make sure to put “buy” in the past tense, since you said “yesterday”: “bought it up”

Second, you are right to put the word “all” if you want to say you bought all available. We would say, “bought it all up” instead of “buy it up all”. So here’s how I would say the sentence: “Picafresa is a Mexican candy; I love it. So yesterday, I bought it all up at the grocery store.”

Incidentally – I live in CDMX and I’ve seen Picafresa. From the name, I assume it’s strawberry flavored, but also spicy. I’m a little afraid to try spicy strawberry … but if you say it’s good, I’ll look for it!
