Careful of where you place the word “first.” Was this the first time any Brazilian teams were bought by outside investors? Or did outside investors buy the first football teams (i.e. the oldest football teams in the country)? If you mean that this was the first time any football team (old or new) was bought by an outside investor, you’d want to say: “Last year, for the first time, one/some of Brazil’s football teams were bought…” If you say “first football teams” in this sense, you are saying that outside investors bought the first teams that ever existed in Brazil
