In the past tense, you can say: “We have angled for a subsidy” … meaning… you have done the things you need to get the subsidy. In the present tense, you can say, “We are angling for a subsidy from the province to host an exposition about the Neder Gemaanse Limes UNESCO heritage site in our museum.”
