Great use of all in! You have to consider transportation, hotels, baggage fees, all that stuff. Great example

Despite my rather low income, the best deals on international flights on Expedia and elsewhere were irresistible. I often found the cheapest yet shortest flight from Tokyo to some cities abroad and loved the amazed look on my mother’s face. But she used to say whenever I cited the ticket price: how much will that trip cost all-in? And it sometimes happened that flight included a stopover, where a one-night-stay near the airport cost more than I had imagined when clicking on button for the flight ticket, finalizing the unfortunate purchase.

Ahhhhh haha yes, it is, thanks so much! It’s so nice of you to remember. I’m with my cousin on the beach this weekend 🙂

Perfect use of “all in.” Here’s a tip for you. “…negotiated a $900 estimate” is fine the way you wrote it. But you can also say, “I went back to the first shop and talked them down to $900.” “talk someone down” means negotiate the price estimate down. Great job!

I love this example! I think this is correct the way you wrote it, but it might be a little more natural to say, “The contractor quoted me $15,000 for a kitchen renovation. I’m hoping to negotiate it down to $12,000 all in.”

Happy Birthday! If I’m not mistaken, today, July 20, is your birthday, isn’t it? In any case, it’s the weekend, maybe your birthday, and we’re very close to the August holidays. All in deserves a special greeting.

The estimate was $1,000 all in. I went to a new repair shop and they told me the estimated was $1,500. I went back to the first and negotiated a $900 estimate.
